Funeral for Lorene Anders, 74, of Hartselle was Sunday, Feb. 18, at 1:30 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Randy Ashley officiating.
Burial was in Herring Cemetery.
Mrs. Anders died Thursday, Feb. 15, 2007, at Hartselle Medical Center. She was born February 9, 1933, in Morgan County to Curtis Wilburn Holmes and Bertha Ann Derrick Holmes. She was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church and a resident of the Massey Community for 45 years. She was a 1952 graduate of Morgan County High School and a graduate of Rainey’s Beauty Academy. She has been a wife, homemaker and a mother of five children for over 52 years. She was lovingly known to her grandchildren as “Nanny.” She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Brandon Sean Crocker.
She is survived by her husband, Claude Anders of Hartselle; four sons, Mike Anders and wife Keli of Massey, Kenneth Anders and Danny Anders and wife Rhonda of Hartselle and David Anders and wife Melissa of Priceville; a daughter, Kay Crocker and husband Brac of Hartselle; three brothers, Leon Holmes and wife Dolly and Gene Holmes and wife Barbara, all of Hartselle and Thurman Holmes and wife Jearldine of Decatur; eight grandchildren, Brackett Crocker and wife Rachel, Stacey Crocker, Forrest Anders Lane Anders, Tyler Anders, Caleb Anders and Kaitlyn Anders, all of Hartselle, Brandon Hendrix of Massey, and Megan Anders of Priceville; and 24 nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Chris Garnett, Brackett Crocker, Brandon Hendrix, Barry Stewart, Chris Burgess and Mike Durand.
