Funeral for Lorene Bates, 64, of Somerville was Tuesday, Feb. 20, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with John Berryhill officiating.
Burial was in Hartselle Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Bates died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2007, at her residence. She was born October 6, 1942, to Tommy Sullivan and Lola Moon Sullivan. She was a loving mother to all.
She is survived by her husband, Horace “Lucky” Bates of Somerville; two sons, James Culver Jr. of Hartselle and Wendell Culver of Arley; two stepsons, Carl Bates of Oregon and Johnny Bates of Birmingham; a stepdaughter, Judy Bates of Jasper; a brother, Lindsay Sullivan of Tennessee ; a sister, Lucille Nichols of Tennessee; four grandchildren; and a great grandchild; and a family of half-brothers and half-sisters.
