Funeral for Dan Webster, 56, of Hartselle will be Friday, Mar. 2, 2007, at 3 p.m. at East Highland Baptist Church with the Revs. Walter Blackman and Charles Stone officiating and Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home directing.
Burial will be in Burningtree Memorial Gardens in Decatur.
Visitation will be on Thursday (today), Mar. 1, from 3 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home and the body will lie in state at the church from 2 to 3 p.m. on Friday.
Mr. Webster died Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2007, at his residence. He was born Aug. 27, 1950, in Morgan County to Harold O’Neal Webster and Lera Dobbs Webster. He was a 1973 graduate of Auburn University and an active member of East Highland Baptist Church. He was employed at Wolverine Tube in the tool and die department for 32 years. He was a wonderful loving husband, father and “Poppy.” He was preceded in death by his mother, Lera Dobbs Webster.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Jones Webster of Hartselle; two sons, Dusty Webster and Christian Webster, both of Auburn; a daughter, Misty Webster Haskins of Hartselle; his father, Harold Webster of Hartselle; a brother, David Webster of Gadsden; two sisters, Kathy Dobbs of Wake Forrest, N.C. and Karen Chenault of Decatur; and three grandchildren, Lauren Haskins, Megan Haskins and Phoebe Haskins, all of Hartselle.
Pallbearers will be Roger Nichols, Larry Foreman, Tommy Sharp, Mike Putman, Ronnie Adcock, George Johnson, Perry Glover and Tom Jones.
Honorary pallbearers will be Myron Chenault, Ken Harrison, Ronnie Smith, Eric Lappa and Harding Birkhead.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Challenge to Build Program at East Highland Baptist Church.
