Lady Bulldogs score 8 in 4th to defeat Randolph

Priceville 14, Randolph 3 (5 innings)
Priceville (2-5) took care of Randolph at home Monday evening, scoring eight runs in the fourth inning to break the game open.
Eighth-grader Meaghan Bond had a strong performance for the Lady Bulldogs, striking out 11 batters in five innings of work and allowing just three hits.
All runs she allowed were unearned.
At the plate, Danielle Richard finished 2-for-2 with three RBIs.
Emily Childers was also 2-for-2 with three RBIs and Maria Stejskal was 2-for-3 with an RBI.
Emily Smith and Caitlin Williams were each 3-for-4. Williams scored three runs and Smith, Childers, Richard and Bond each scored two runs.
Sparkman 6, Hartselle 5
The Lady Tigers didn't quite have enough offense to defeat the defending Class 6A champion in the first game at the Sparkman Varsity Tournament.
Hartselle's Mary Curtis took the loss. Kayla Orr finished 2-for-2 with an RBI, two runs and a triple; Kristy Pevahouse was 1-for-3 with a run and triple; Audrey McClanahan was 1-for-2 with an RBI and a triple; and Sara Lang was 1-for-1 with two RBIs.
Hartselle 4, Athens 1
Audrey McClanahan picked up the win for the Lady Tigers. Pevahouse finished 2-for-3 with a double, triple and run scored and Whitley Collins was 1-for-2 with a run and an RBI double.
Hartselle 6, East Limestone 1
Breanna Segars struck out six batters in five innings of work to pick up the win. Orr finished 2-for-3 with an RBI, a triple and a run scored; Lang was 1-for-2 with a run scored and an RBI double and Shauna Clemons was 1-for-2 with a double and a run scored.
Hartselle 1, Bob Jones 0
The Lady Tigers needed just one run to get past Bob Jones in the championship game of the "silver bracket" in the Sparkman Varsity Tournament Saturday.
Hartselle's run came in the second inning when McClanahan's RBI single scored Clemons. Clemons was 1-for-2 in the game and McClanahan was 1-for-1.
Curtis picked up the win for Hartselle, allowing just one hit while striking out seven and walking none.
Hartselle's record improved to 6-3 with the win. The Lady Tigers next play at home against Grissom on Monday.
Lawrence County 11, Priceville 3
The Lady Bulldogs managed just three hits off Lawrence County's Summer Wilkerson in the loss.
