Students visit “Let’s Pretend Hospital”
By Staff
Morgan County school children will be among those taking part in Calhoun Community College’s seventh annual “Let’s Pretend Hospital” March 13-16. The program gives first graders a look at a mock hospital. This year’s event holds special significance; it will be the first time Let’s Pretend Hospital activities will be held in Calhoun’s new Health Sciences Center located on the Decatur campus.
The “mock” hospital will include an admissions office, ER, hospital patient room, operating room, x-ray, and discharge area. The "hospital" is being assembled by Calhoun nursing students and nursing faculty, who have spent hours planning and preparing for the event.
More than 1,200 first graders from Morgan County and Decatur school systems, as well as area private schools, will take part in the event..
