Funeral for Curtis Blankenship, 87, of Falkville was Sunday, March 18, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tim Kinney officiating.
Burial was in Lebanon Cemetery.
Mr. Blankenship died Friday, March 16, 2007, at his residence. He was born Oct. 9, 1919, in Morgan County to Roscoe Blankenship and Myrtle Alvis Blankenship. He was a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corps and was preceded in death by his wife, Cleo McNutt Blankenship and a daughter, Mary Ann Smith.
He is survived by three sons, Sammy Blankenship and Jack Blankenship, both of Falkville and Michael Blankenship of Vinemont; two daughters, Margarette Kennedy of Ocean Springs, Miss. and Ruth Ann Black of Hanceville; two sisters, Barbara Wright and Ruby Powell, both of Falkville; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Sons and grandsons were pallbearers.
