Funeral for Oscar Clyde Reeves, 86, of Hartselle was Saturday, March 17, at 1:30 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Jeff Archer, Jeff Maye and Charles Goodall officiating.
Burial was in Bethel Cemetery.
Mr. Reeves died Thursday, March 15, 2007, at his residence. He was born March 14, 1921, in Morgan County to Oscar H. Reeves and Johnnie Grace McCutcheon Reeves. He was employed at Wolverine Tube, Inc. for 25 years as a machine operator, a veteran of World War II and a member of Westview Church of Christ. He was born and died in the same Reeves homeplace, was a devoted Christian man who loved the Lord and his family and never met a stranger. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary M. Reeves.
He is survived by a daughter, Mary Reeves Worley and husband James B. of Hartselle; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Reggie Corum, Jimmy Bone, Chester Wright, Bill Lewis, Dale Gray, Ray Daves, David Thrasher and Dan Davidson.
Honorary pallbearers were deacons and elders of Westview Church of Christ and Tommie Jo Beal.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Valley.
