Hartselle's Pevahouse hits home run in bottom of the 7th to beat Oak Mountain

The Lady Tigers needed someone to step up with a big bat in the bottom half of the seventh inning at the Grady and Margie Long Park Monday afternoon.
Outfielder Kristy Pevahouse answered the call. She belted a waist-high pitch over the right centerfield fence to give her team a 5-4 victory over Oak Mountain.
The Lady Tigers (17-5) had to battle from behind to get themselves in a position to win. They trailed 4-0 before scoring four runs in the bottom of the fifth to tie the score.
Breana Segars pitched the entire game and was credited with the win. She allowed four runs on eight hits while striking out five.
In addition to Pevahouse's homer, Sara Lang had an RBI double and Whitney Collins had a double and scored a run.
Decatur 12, Brewer 1 (4 innings)
The Lady Patriots had a tough time with Decatur Monday, as the Lady Raiders scored five runs in the first inning and seven in the fourth to pick up the victory.
For Brewer, Meagan Hormel hit a double and Ashley Henderson picked up a single.
Danville 10, Hatton 5
The Lady Hawks' bats came to life in a victory over Hatton March 23, with Danville picking up 12 hits, including two Lady Hawks with three hits.
Bethany Evans finished 3-for-3 with two doubles, a single and an RBI and Mallory George was 3-for-4 with two doubles, a single and three RBIs.
Kristen Thompson finished 2-for-4 with a triple; Kristen Sparkman had an RBI double and Kassie Cowart singled home a run. Sarah Terry tripled and picked up two RBIs and Kirby Wallace had an RBI single.
Thompson picked up the win, working seven innings and striking out five.
Hartselle JV 5, Oak Mountain JV 4
Hartselle's junior varsity Lady Tigers scored two runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to overcome a 4-3 deficit and defeat a feisty Oak Mountain team 5-4 at the Grady and Margie Long Park Monday night.
Christa Long tied the score at 4-all after reaching first base on a bunt single, advancing to second on a sacrifice bunt by Ashley White and coming home on a double by Leah Dobbins. A clutch single by Chelsea Fagan scored the winning run.
Sara Little had a double and a single, Shelby Hoff doubled and Alex Paulsen and Kimmie Minor each had a single.
Meaghan Gray went the distance on the mound and was credited with the win. She allowed four runs on five hits while striking out five and walking two.
