Funeral for Alton McClain Saddler, 82, of Eva was Monday, April 16, at 2 p.m. at Eva Baptist Church with the Revs. Phillip Robinson, Gary Driver and Raymond Stinson officiating.
Burial was in Lawrence Cove Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Saddler died Friday, April 13, 2007, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born August 14, 1924, in Tuscaloosa County to Ferrell Saddler and Bertha Bell Howell Saddler.
He was a veteran, a member of Eva Baptist Church and a 50-year member of Masonic Lodge #783, Sipsey, Ala.
He is survived by his wife, Lorene Childers Saddler of Eva; and two brothers, Nelson Saddler and wife Margie of Warner Robbins, Ga. and Jerry Saddler and wife June of Sipsey.
Pallbearers were Jimmy Mosteller, Leon Mosteller, Chris Childers, Terry Childers, Tony Holcomb and Gerry Saddler.
