A graveside service for Billy Ray Smith, 72, of Hartselle was Tuesday, April 24, at 1 p.m. at Herring Cemetery with Bro. Ellis Wayand officiating.
Mr. Smith died Sunday, April 22, 2007, at Parkway Medical Center in Decatur. He was a veteran and was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Reba Marlene Smith of Hartselle; three sons, Steve Smith, Charles Smith and wife Tina and Lee Smith and wife Cindy, all of Massey; a brother, Frankie Smith and wife Patsy of Massey; two sisters, Betty Harden and husband Felix of Hartselle and Judy Horst of Birmingham; eight grandchildren, Jessie, Wesley, Sarah Makenzie, Preston, Austin, Jay-Dee and Chloe; and two great-grandchildren, Kody and Kurt.
Pallbearers were Randy Harden, Jeff Harden, Ronnie Lawrimore, Roger Smith, Marty Horst and Patrick Horst.
