Clemons, Davis exchange vows
Ashton Whitney Clemons and James Robert Davis were wed March 3, 2007, at Hartselle First Baptist Church, Rev. Brent Colee officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Dick and Laura Clemons of Hartselle. The groom is the son of Joe and Mary Davis of Danville.
The altar for the ceremony was decorated with four 10-foot tall columns with lace fabric and Jackson vine. The pews were adorned with pink gerber daisies.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
She chose a formal designer gown of white silk chiffon accented with crystal faceted beads. The strapless gown was fashioned with a richly embellished molded bodice. A band of beading emphasized the empire waste of the bodice. The back bodice featured a corseted closure. The soft skirt of chiffon was delicately embellished with embroidery and swept to a semi-cathedral train. Her Barcelona veil of imported French tulle was adorned with peals and rhinestones and the scalloped edge was trimmed with silver.
Katie Bowman of Hartselle was maid of honor. Jodi Coffey of Hartselle, cousin of the bride, Mallory Crowder of Chickamauga, Ga., cousin of the bride, Leslie Morris of Hartselle, Sarah Wiley of Hartselle, Erin Osborne of Danville, Sarah Barbre of Athens and Branda Bloodworth of Hartselle, were bridesmaids. Attendants wore iridescent tea length chiffon dresses in a calypso blue with a sidedraping cascade. They carried pink gerber daisies.
Hannah Rose Turner and Emma Kate Turner, both of Birmingham, were flower girls.
Witten Morgan of Hartselle was ring bearer.
Chance Higdon of Danville was best man.
Groomsmen were Justin Hazel of Danville, Will Edmondson of Danville, Justin “Mur” Moore of Danville, Eric Osborne of Danville, Jamey Barbre of Athens and Chad Bloodworth of Hartselle. The bride’s brothers, Patrick Clemons of Huntsville, Clayton Clemons and Travis Clemons, both of Hartselle, served as ushers.
Vocalist was Will Morgan. Guitarist was Patrick Clemons and the pianist was Allison Keenum.
The reception was held at Quail Creek Golf Resort.
The bride’s table featured an ivory square three-tiered cake with white script decorative writing topped with a “D” monogram. The table had a pink cloth with the bride’s mother’s veil on it.
The groom’s table was done by the groom’s aunt, Sandy Digesu. It featured a three-layered chocolate square cake with strawberry chocolate tuxedos. It also featured mixed nuts, fruits and chocolates.
The wedding was directed by Sandy Schofield and Candy Orr. Assisting with the reception were Cookie Garner, Catherine Garner, Cissy Pearson, Barb Wiley and Jackie Bowman.
Janie Oswalt attended the bride’s book.
After a wedding trip to Costa Rica, the couple will reside in Hartselle.
The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal party March 2 at Cahoots in Hartselle.

Steven and Constance Holt of Falkville announce the engagement of their daughter, Diana Nicole Holt of Falkville to Johnny Nathan Cobb of Falkville, son of Doug Cobb of Hartselle and Connie and Tommy Hill of Falkville.
The future bride is the granddaughter of Jimmy Little and Susie Clariday of Falkville, Jackie and William Bohannon of Decatur, the late Sharon Little of Falkville and the late Jimmy Holt of Decatur.
She attends Falkville High School and Wallace State Community College. She will be attending Calhoun Community College in the fall to study pre-veterinary medicine. She is a member of the National Honor Society and the National Scholar Society.
The future groom is the grandson of Gene and Margie Wilson of Falkville, Louise Cobb of Hartselle and the late James Cobb.
He has a daughter, Mackenzie.
He is a 1996 graduate of Falkville High School. After graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Army Infantry Division and is now employed at TL Express Trucking in Decatur.
The wedding is planned for June 17, 2007, at 2 p.m. at Lakeview Wedding Chapel in Decatur.
