Funeral for Dan Cavender, 57, of Holly Pond was Monday, April 30, at 1:30 p.m. at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with Brian Wilbanks and the Rev. Danny Pitts officiating.
Burial was in Roundtop Cemetery.
Mr. Cavender died Friday, April 27, 2007, at his residence.
He was born December 27, 1949, in Tennessee to Johnny T. Hill and Lorene M. Beasley Hill.
He was a member of Inner Peace Tabernacle Church in Falkville and the caretaker of Clarkson Covered Bridge.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Wilbanks Cavender of Holly Pond; three sons, Danny Thomas Cavender of Hamilton, Daniel Ray Brown of Hartselle and James Wade Wilbanks of Falkville; four daughters, Melanie Faith Cavender of Fuqay Varina, N.C., Amanda Shae Cavender of Hartselle, Kristian LaShea Wilbanks of Fairview and Jennifer Dearre Rowland of Pensacola, Fla.; a brother, William “Tony” Hill and wife Violet; eight sisters, Gloria Lacey and husband Jerry, Renata Boger and husband Micky, Kimberly Irvin and husband Ricky, Jonnie Lee Garrison and husband James, Tabitha Hill, Tereasa Duckworth and husband David, Lisa Hill and Nikki Hill; and nine grandchildren.
Nephews were pallbearers.
