Davidson, Woodard wed
Emily Ree Davidson of Gardendale and Brandon Wayne Woodard of Morris were wed April 28, 2007 at 2 p.m. at Wilson’s Wedding Chapel in Gardendale.
The bride is the daughter of Dan and Cindy Davidson of Hartselle. The groom is the son of Ken and Linda Woodard of Morris.
Bro. Bill Hall officiated the service. The bride was given in marriage by her father.
She wore a designer white one-piece beaded gown of sequined lace over satin. The gown featured a slim A line corset back with cap sleeves. The bodice was accented with an illusion lace insert panel highlighted with scalloped lace.
A satin sash accented the empire waistline and wrapped to a corset back and finished in the back with cascading streamers. She also wore a double row crown of coated flowers in her hair.
The bride carried a nosegay with a mixture of shades of hot and light pink Gerber daisies and white roses.
Rhiannon Thompson, cousin of the bride, of Kokomo, Ind. was matron of honor. Erin Dyle of Auburn was maid of honor. Attendants were Rachel Copeland of Gardendale, April Woodard, sister of the groom, of Gardendale, and Addie Roberts, cousin of the bride, of Hartselle.
The attendants wore black sleeveless floor length gowns with asymmetrical necklines accented with rhinestone pins. They carried bouquets of Gerber daisies in shades of pink.
Ken Woodard, father of the groom, was best man.
Adam Reid of Gardendale, Jason Letanosky of Gardendale, Jonathan Matlock of Kansas City, Mo. and Drew Davidson, brother of the bride, of Hartselle were groomsmen.
The reception was held at Wilson’s Wedding Chapel. The reception featured a personalized ice sculpture by Birmingham chef David Bromley as a special wedding gift.
Program attendants were Stacy Andrews of Nashville and Melanie Buchanan of Mobile.
After a honeymoon trip to the Great Smokey Mountains, the couple resides in Jacksonville.
A rehearsal party was hosted before the wedding by the groom’s parents.

Franklin W. and Eva M. Orr of Athens announce the engagement of their daughter, Deanna Marie Orr, to Adam Nicholas Penn of Pleasant Grove, son of Becky and Jerry Brown and Don and Barbara Penn of Pleasant Grove and Hueytown.
The future bride is the granddaughter of Vera Hayes and the late Gene Hayes of Hartselle and the late Robert and Joyce Orr of Athens.
She is a 2003 graduate of East Limestone High School and a 2007 graduate of The University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she received a bachelors degree in radiation therapy. She is a sister of Alpha Omicron Pi sorority.
The future groom is the grandson of Bill and Florence Ganus of Pleasant Grove and the late Clarence and Joyce Penn of Bessemer. He is a 1999 graduate of Pleasant Grove High School and a 2005 graduate of The University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he received a bachelors degree in industrial distribution. He is a brother of Lamba Chi Alpha fraternity. He is employed by Consolidated Electrical Distributors as a sales manager trainee.
The wedding is planned for May 19, 2007, at Gabrella Manor in Birmingham.
Beavers, Smitherman to wed
Mr. and Mrs. Ron Beavers of Falkville announce the engagement of their daughter, Bethany Leigh Beavers, to William Jarrod Smitherman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Smitherman of Clanton.
The future bride is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James H. Hopkins of Falkville, Hardie Beavers of Lexington and the late Mary Beavers.
A 2002 graduate of Falkville High School, she graduated summa cum laude in 2006 from the University of North Alabama with a bachelor of science degree in secondary education.
She is employed by the Morgan County Board of Education as an English teacher at Danville High School.
The future groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. James Earl Smitherman of Clanton, Sammy Wyatt of Clanton and the late William Wyatt. A 2002 graduate of Isabella High School, he is a 2006 summa cum laude graduate of the University of North Alabama with a bachelor of science degree in secondary education. He is employed by the Blount County Board of Education as a history teacher at J.B. Pennington High School.
The wedding is planned for June 30, 2007, at 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Falkville.
