Starr, Martin exchange vows
Carrie Rosa Starr and William Casey Martin were wed Jan. 6, 2007 at 4:30 p.m. at Skyland Boulevard Baptist Church in Tuscaloosa. Rev. Jimmy Garner officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Robert Hershel Starr of Trussville and Charlae Turner Gamble of Moody. She is the granddaughter of Lonnie and Ann Starr of Hartselle and the late Lt. Col. and Mrs. Charles Turner of Romney, WV.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Alan Hawkins of Tuscaloosa. He is the grandson of late Rev. and Mrs. George Hicks of Centreville.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a designer silhouette gown by Christos featuring ivory-embroidered alencon lace and triple tier silk organza outlining the sweetheart neckline. The chapel length veil was adorned with a French alencon lace border.
Attending the bride were maid of honor, Julia Ann Starr, of Trussville, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Carlyn Layne Blackburn of Trussville, Kimberly Brooke Austin of Trussville, Kelsey Maclyn Starr of Hartselle, cousin of the bride, Anna Duncan McLaughlin of Tuscaloosa and Ashley Diane Stanfield of Atlanta, Ga. Flower girl was Gracyn Elizabeth Boothe, niece of the groom.
The groom’s father was best man. Groomsmen were Bobby Ray Boothe, brother of the groom, Thomas Blake Corner, Justin Franklin Harrison, Justin Paul McLaughlin, Kendall Lee Junkin and Robert Matthew McBride, all of Tuscaloosa. Ring bearer was Connoe William Reilly, nephew of the groom.
The reception was held at The Jemison Van De Graaff Mansion. The groom’s parents hosted the rehearsal dinner at the Cypress Inn in Tuscaloosa.
Following they honeymoon trip to St. Lucia, the couple resides in Tuscaloosa.
