Funeral for Bobby Gene Edwards, 67, of Tanner was Saturday, May 12, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ben Styles officiating.
Burial was in West Point Cemetery in Somerville.
Mr. Edwards died Wednesday, May 9, 2007, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born August 20, 1939, in Morgan County to G.D. Edwards and Lizzie E. Beck Stephenson Edwards. He was a Baptist and was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, J.C. Edwards.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Edwards of Tanner; a son, Cleth Edwards of Priceville; a stepson, Wade Woods of Tuscumbia; two daughters, Chargonda Haygood of Ryan and LaTana Edwards of Somerville; seven sisters, Martha Scott and Dimple Irvin, both of Somerville, and Mary Oakes, Anita “Rene” Wilbourn, Iris Brown, Barbara Lowery and Faye Cahela, all of Lacey’s Spring; and four grandchildren. Pallbearers were J.A. Sasser, Tim Byrd, Shawn Brown, Jackie Lowery and Roger Irvin.
