Funeral for Evie Holladay, 91, of Falkville was Saturday, May 12, at 3 p.m. at Friendship Baptist Church near Danville with Bro. Danny Compton officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery. Mrs. Holladay died Wednesday, May 9, 2007, at Summerford Nursing Home. She was born October 23, 1915, in Georgia to John Samuel Crow and Dona Miller Crow. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emmett Holladay, who died in 1957, her parents, two grandsons, a great-granddaughter, a brother, Coy Crow, and a sister, Myrtis Crow. She is survived by four sons, Wade Holladay, Cliff Holladay, Lynn Holladay and Phil Holladay; three daughters, Dewese Ockerman, Jerry Holladay and Mary Gem Johnson; a brother, Zemon Crow; three sisters, Essie Holladay, Hazel Holladay and Christine McKay; 17 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
Grandsons were pallbearers.
