Falkville's Sewell takes 2nd at state decathlon

Falkville's Cody Sewell took second place in the state decathlon held at Mountain Brook High School May 14-15. Sewell, second from left, competed against 40 athletes from all classifications in 10 events including various runs, the shot put, the discus, high jump, pole vault, long jump and javelin. Joining Sewell (L-R from first to fifth place) are East Lawrence's Dakota Matthews, Saint Paul's Whit Gruenwald, Hoover's Grant Bullington and Mountain Brook's Hunter Carmichael.
