One-vehicle wreck claims driver’s life

A one-vehicle wreck on a rural road near Eva claimed the life of a Huntsville man on Sunday at approximately 5:10 p.m.
Joel Howard Curry, 30, was returning home from a weekend of National Guard training when his vehicle left the road and struck a large tree. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Morgan County Coroner Russ Beard. Blunt force trauma was listed as the cause of death.
Curry was trapped inside his car when Eva volunteer firefighters arrived on the scene. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to State Troopers.
The accident remains under investigation.
