Sales tax seminar set for May 31
By Staff
A series of meetings scheduled throughout the state to help businesses better understand the sales tax holiday continues May 31 at the Cullman Area Chamber of Commerce.
The Cullman Area Chamber of Commerce is the host for the meeting scheduled for 11:30 a.m. at the chamber office at 301 2nd Ave. SW. The Alabama Department of Revenue and the Alabama Retail Association, in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce Association of Alabama, organized the meetings scheduled from May through July.
Any business in the surrounding area that sells clothing, school supplies, books, or computers and computer equipment would benefit from the information shared at this one-hour seminar. This is the only meeting scheduled for Cullman, Blount, Winston and Morgan counties. There is a July 13 meeting in Walker County at the Community Health Systems in Jasper and a July 17 meeting in Jackson County at the Greater Jackson County Chamber of Commerce in Scottsboro.
