Funeral for Linda Murphy Halbert, 63, of Decatur was Wednesday, May 30, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Rodney Bowling officiating.
Burial was in Shiloh Cemetery.
Mrs. Halbert died Monday, May 28, 2007, at The Terrance Assisted Living at Priceville. She was born May 12, 1944, in Morgan County to Limus Hayes Murphy and Mildred McAnally Murphy. She was employed in the shipping department at Parker Hannifin Corp. in Huntsville. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Perry Halbert.
She is survived by a son, Spencer D’Olive of Somerville; a brother, Michael Murphy of Somerville; three sisters, Jo Speegle of Priceville; Barbara Campbell of Belvidere, Ill. and Kathy Farrow of Chattanooga, Tenn.; seven nieces, Tina Allen, Tammy Payne, Tonya Oney, Teri Heusel, Cindy Hallstrom, Brandee Mahan and Nicki Ayers; three nephews, Jason Swartz, William “Bubba” Mahan and Dustin Waits; and six great-nieces and great-nephews.
Pallbearers were Allen Kirby, Bruce Payne, Steve Thompson, J.R. Heusel, Ray Lindsey and Caleb Lindsey.
