Morgan County pet owners and keepers who have not yet had their cats and dogs vaccinated against rabies are encouraged to get that done Saturday, June 9, during the county’s annual Rabies Vaccination Clinic.
Six veterinarians will work the clinic, making scheduled stops in 61 rural communities, beginning at 7 a.m. and continuing until 1 p.m. Only Rabies shots will be available and they will be offered at a discounted rate of $10 per animal.
State law requires that all cats and dogs 12 weeks of age or older must be vaccinated against rabies annually, according to Dr. Michael Dishman, Morgan County Rabies Inspector.
