Lula ‘Porter’ Simmons

A graveside service for Lula "Porter" Simmons, 90, of Moulton will be Thursday, June 7, at 1 p.m. at New Friendship in Somerville with the Rev. Greg Pace officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Simmons died Saturday, June 2, 2007, at Summerford Nursing Home in Falkville. She was born January 8, 1917, in Florida to Marvin Porter and Mattie L. Welch Porter.
She is survived by a son, John Samuel Potter; five daughters, Anita McCoy of Kentucky, Ruth Wilson of Ohio, Martha Cooper of Indiana, Kay Davis of Moulton and Janette Prohasky of Moulton; and a sister, Pearl Mitchell of Florida.
