A Somerville man is behind bars in connection with a series of car burglaries at the Hartselle Wal-Mart.
John David Vansteenis, 23, of 342 Bluff City Road, is charged with three counts of burglary of an auto in connection to the June 4 daytime auto break-in.
According to Hartselle police, a Wal-Mart patron reported a man unlawfully entering a vehicle in the parking lot. Wal-Mart employees detained the man until police arrived.
It was later determined the man allegedly entered several vehicles also parked at Wal-Mart.
At the time of this arrest, he was free on bond for separate auto burglaries at the Hartselle Wal-Mart parking lot. He is currently being held without bond in the Morgan County Jail.
