Captain D's soon-to-be-opened Hartselle location represents a change in the company's business model, with a new menu, revamped store design and logo.
The store is set to open June 25. A ribbon cutting is set for 11:15 a.m. at the Highway 31 location. The new location is one of Captain D's new store models, including a new order station, menu board, seating area and d/cor.
The Hartselle restaurant is one of the first of the chain's 600 stores to feature the new design.
"We are incredibly delighted to be bringing this exciting new look and menu to Hartselle," Captain D's President David Head said.
The new store will feature Captain D's new menu which includes grilled seafood and pasta. In addition to its traditional battered fish and other seafood, there will be a host of new grilled items. Items will include wild Alaskan salmon, tilapia, coastal flounder, mahi mahi, shrimp skewer and chicken breast.
Pasta will include zesty shrimp scampi, shrimp broccoli alfredo, savory shrimp scampi and chicken items. There will also be 16 side items such as garlic mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, steam broccoli, fresh sliced tomatoes, apple slices and dip and roasted red potatoes.
Hartselle's Captain D's will also feature its new logo. The logo features a stylized fish beneath the company's name, with the words "Seafood Kitchen" across a blue ocean below. The restaurant has been using the new logo since late last year.
