Children's parade part of festival fun

Children are invited to put on their creative caps and come out to the Children's Spirit Parade held in conjunction with the Spirit of America Festival.
Children up to 12 years old are asked to decorate their bicycles, wagons, strollers, tricycles and wheelchairs in a festive patriotic theme and to participate in the annual family fun parade set for July 4.
The parade will originate at T. C. Almon Recreation Center and travel to the Spirit of America Stage. Prizes will be awarded to the grand winner, first, second, and third runners-up.
Registration is set for 9:30 a.m. at T. C. Almon Recreation Center with the parade beginning at 10 a.m.
The first 100 kids to register will receive a free T-shirt and free chicken mini's and Pepsi products will be served.
The Children's Spirit Parade is sponsored by First American Bank, Big Bob Gibson Bar-B-Q, Chick-Fil-A, Pepsi and Wyker's Toys.
