Williams, Roose exchange vows
Gina Ann Williams and Theodore "Tad" Reed Roose were wed Dec. 29, 2006, in an evening ceremony at Southside Baptist Church in Decatur.
The bride is the daughter of Glenn and Teena K. Williams of Somerville. The groom is the son of Ted and Donna Roose of Hoover.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of candlelight silk satin. Hand-sewn rows of crystal beads formed the sweetheart neckline of the off-the-shoulder bodice, which was accented by Monaco lace appliqu/s, encrusted with crystals, beading and silk piping. A row of covered buttons carried the pattern down the ballroom skirt and cathedral train with Monaco lace encircling the hem.
She wore her mother's veil, a cathedral length veil of candlelight illusion held by a headpiece adorned with rows of sequins and pearl petals and loops of satin and chiffon. The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet of red and pink roses accented with eucalyptus seed.
The church was decorated in greenery and roses, with candlelight accentuating each window and the front of the sanctuary.
Rev. Danny Davidson of Pleasant View, Tenn. performed the ceremony. Rev. Davidson's wife, Michelle, served as matron of honor, while their daughter, Carah Blake Davidson, preceded the bride down the aisle as the flower girl. The bride's mother also served as honorary matron of honor.
Bridesmaids included Holley Ford of Ft. Worth Tex., cousins of the bride; Melissa Bailey Lewis of Decatur, Heather Patton of Mountain Brook, Alyson Williams of Somerville and sister of the groom Bethany Roose of Montevallo. A cousin of the bride, Courtney Jackson of Hoover, served as junior bridesmaid. Each carried a silver tussey mussey of roses in shades of red and pink and wore floor length, strapless red satin dresses complemented by bolero jackets or wraps of the same fabric.
The groom's father stood beside him as best man. Groomsmen included Darian Mostashari of Hoover, Joey Hinson of Warner Robbins, Ga., Justin Fisher of Moody , David Jackson of Germantown, Tenn., and the bride's brothers, Ryan Williams of Pittsburgh, Penn. and A.J. Williams of Somerville.
Tawny Buckelew of Eva attended the guest book while Martha Sharp, the bride's aunt, directed the wedding.
Amarilys Barnett and Cliff and Melissa Lewis were vocalists for the ceremony. Organist Mary Virginia Roan and Pianist Peggy Suggs provided the music.
Guests were invited to an hors d'oeuvre and desserts reception that followed the ceremony at Carnegie Visual Arts Center in Decatur. Friends of the bride and groom, Kelly Fisher, Dana Mostashari, LaShawn Jones and Jennifer Terry, assisted at the reception.
Following a honeymoon trip to Mexico, the couple now resides in Birmingham.

Emerson, Barry to wed Aug. 11
Joel and Beth Emerson of Hartselle announce the engagement of their daughter, Leah Beth Emerson of Hartselle, to Brendan James Barry, originally of St. Louis, Mo. and now of Birmingham, the son of David and Molly Barry of St. Louis, Mo.
The future bride is the granddaughter of Sue Pike Coughlin of Hartselle and the late Ira Mack Pike, Hurdes Emerson and Anita Joe Emerson.
A 2001 graduate of Hartselle High School, she received her bachelor of arts degree in art with a minor in art history from Auburn University in 2005. She was a member of Delta Gamma sorority, Lacrosse Hostess Club president and a Panhellinic Recruitment Counselor. She is employed in Decatur.
The future groom is the grandson of Jayne Watson of St. Louis, Mo. and the late Andrew Watson, Ike Barry and Elizabeth Barry.
A 2002 graduate of Christian Brothers High School of Memphis, Tenn., he received his bachelor's degree in building construction in 2006 from Auburn University. While at Auburn, he was president of Auburn Men's Lacrosse and is presently employed as assistant lacrosse coach at Spain Park High School in Birmingham and B.L. Harbert International.
The wedding is planned for Aug. 11, 2007, at 3 p.m. at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Hoover.
Wilcutt, Jump to wed July 21
Larry and Paulette Wilcutt of Cullman announce the engagement of their daughter, Karen Denise Wilcutt of Cullman, to Andrew Christian Jump of Hartselle, son of David and Susan Jump of Hartselle.
The future bride is the granddaughter of the late William E "Bill" and Katherine Wilcutt of Southside and the late John and Osa Ergle of Cullman.
She is a 1999 graduate of Cullman High School, where she received an advanced diploma.
In 2003, she received a bachelor of science degree in elementary education from the University of North Alabama, and in 2004, she received a master's of arts degree in elementary education.
The future groom is the grandson of the late George and Marie Jump of Ocala, FL, and the late John and Josephine S. Tidd of Eugene, OR. A 1996 graduate of Bethel Baptist High School, he attended Athens State University and in 2001 received a bachelor of science degree in computer science.
The wedding is planned for July 21, 2007, at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Decatur.
