Funeral for Richard A. "Dick" Woodard, 70, of Somerville was Wednesday, July 4, at 2 p.m. at Valhermoso Springs Holiness Church with Bros. Melvin Brown and Don Trosper officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in the adjoining cemetery. Mr. Woodard died Sunday, July 1, 2007, at his residence. He was a member of Valhermoso Springs Holiness Church.
He is survived by his wife, Madgie I. Woodard of Somerville; a son, Charles A. Woodard of Somerville; two daughters, Delitha K. Madewell of Somerville and Audry M. Worley of Hernando, Miss.; a brother, Charles Nuby Woodard of Lacey's Spring; two sisters, Flora Dudley of Lacey's Spring and Hazel Hawes of Waterville, Me, eight grandchildren, James Woodard, Devin Madewell, Brandon Madewell, Juan Worley, Barbara Worley, Melissa Worley, Louise Worley and Abel Worley; three stepgrandchildren; and four stepgreat-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Dewayne Speegle, Jerry Atchley, Gary Thompson, Cleth Edwards, David Edwards, Eddie Lones and Elmer Lenox.
