The Country Cousins Club met Thursday, June 28 at the Fairview community center with 15 members and seven guests attending. Billy Hutchison acted as hostess.
The cousins welcomed guests Willene Hamby, Georgia Brooks, Travis Brooks, Ashley Brooks, Angela Brooks and Leola Brooks from Michigan. They are the grandchildren of the late Leola Davis Landman. Mrs. Landman was the sister of club member Johnnie McElroy. The group was overjoyed to see these cousins that they see very rarely.
Everyone was happy to have Edna White back after her accident and long recovery. Her husband, Bob, was all smiles to have his lady up on her feet again, even with a walker. They brought their little granddaughter, Brook Alexander, with them.
During prayer time special thoughts went out to Johnnie McElroy and Olene Wilbanks who were unable to attend and are both going through a rough time right now.
Others attending were Evalene Orr, Zettie Atkinson, Inez Borden, Idalene Singleton, Eleanor Garrison, Lucille Roddam, Vera Horsley, Johnny Self, Donna Weeks, Edna Earle James and Hoyt and Dot Maples. The Maples will host the next meeting.
