Funeral for Jeff Duke, 43, of Hartselle was Monday, July 16, at 2 p.m. at Christ Covenant Presbyterian Church in Cullman with Pastor Andrew Siegenthaler officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial was in Duck River Cemetery.
Mr. Duke died Friday, July 13, 2007, in Sevierville, Tenn. He was born Feb. 1, 1964, in Chicago, Ill., to James "Bud" Duke and Joyce Christine Posey Duke. He was a member of Christ Covenant Presbyterian Church in Cullman since 2001 where he taught Sunday school. He was a 1982 graduate of Cullman High School and was employed by Best Way Rent to Own in Hartselle. He loved God, loved being a daddy and he loved working hard to provide for his wife and children, whom he loved very much. He had a special gift of making people laugh. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Sonja Frost Duke of Hartselle; a son, Cameron Duke of Hartselle; and a daughter, Jessica Duke, of Hartselle.
Pallbearers were Caleb Coleman, Sean Coleman, Randy Downing, Patrick Gambrill, Scott Reaves, Brent Luke, George Frost and Keith Posey.
Honorary pallbearers were Joey Blair, Brian Kilpatrick, Jeff Frost and Chad Smith.
