Walker, Tyson to exchange vows July 28
Kevin and Karen Walker of Paint Rock announce the engagement of their daughter, Anna Elizabeth Walker of Paint Rock, to Chase Berton Tyson of Danville, son of Craig and Cindy Tyson of Danville.
The future bride is the granddaughter of John and the late Jean Tucker of Huntsville and Billy and Geneva Walker of Smyrna, TN. She is a 2003 graduate of Woodville High School. She attended the University of Alabama in Huntsville where she received a degree in human resource management. She is employed at Scientific Research Corporation.
The future groom is the grandson of Buddy and Scharlene Yarborough of Somerville, the late J.B. and the late Myrt Tyson, and Wanda Yarborough of Danville. He is a 2002 graduate of Danville High School. He attended the University of Alabama in Huntsville, where he received a degree in biological sciences. He is currently attending the University of Alabama in Birmingham, where he is studying dentistry.
The wedding is planned for July 28, 2007, at 2 p.m. at West Huntsville Baptist Church.
Wadsworth, Grantland wed
Selma Sullivan Wadsworth of Priceville and Hollis Lamar Grantland of Hartselle were wed on February 27, 2007, at 5 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Hartselle. Rev. Bobby Ray Halbrooks officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Sarah Sullivan of Decatur and the late Jimmie Sullivan. The groom is the son of the late Samuel Edward and Ester Elizabeth Grantland.
The bride carried a bouquet of cream and peach roses with forget me not.
A reception was held at OH!Bryan Steakhouse following the ceremony.
Assisting with the reception was David Frances Beckley and Jan Abercrombie.
After a honeymoon trip to Nashville, the couple will reside in Priceville.
An engagement party was held on Feb. 16 at Priceville Palace. The event was hosted by Tom and Sandra Walker.
Thomsen, Farally wed
Ardra Thomsen and Todd Farally were wed April 27, 2007, in an afternoon ceremony at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Narberth, Penn., the Rev. David Percy presiding.
The bride is the daughter of Hans and Peggy Thomsen of Glendale, Ky. The groom is the son of Diane Farally of Media, Penn and the late William Farally.
The bride is a 1999 graduate of Hartselle High School and a 2004 graduate of Carthage College, Kenosha, Wisc. She is employed as a chemist with the Department of Defense in Philadelphia, Penn. She attends Temple University pursuing a master's degree.
The groom is a 1998 graduate of Cardinal O'Hara High School and is currently a completing his apprenticeship with the Local 19 Sheet Metal Workers' Union and taking classes toward a degree in business at DeVry University.
The bride worn a diamond white Maggie Sottero one-piece satin strapless sheath. Lace appliqu/s accent the sweetheart neckline and the asymmetrical drape on the front bodice. The back featured an illusion lace closure with a pleated asymmetrical sweep back, accented with a ribbon and streamers. The train of the gown was also ornamented with lace. Her mother made her custom finger tip length veil with matching lace appliqu/s. The bride carried a bouquet of light blue and pure white hydrangea, tulips, gardenia, stephanotis, sweet peas and magnolia blossoms.
Bridesmaids included Sherri Bagwell of Fern Park, Fla., a former Hartselle resident; Sarah Lamson Hyatt of Hartselle; Tiffany Shaner of Philadelphia; and Victoria Valvardi, the groom's niece, of West Chester, Penn.
Groomsmen included Sean Troy of Media, Penn.; William Farally, the groom's brother, also of Media, Penn; Andrew Shaner of Philadelphia; and Matt Polaha of San Diego, Calif.
The flower girl and ring bearer, Serena and John Valvardi, are the niece and nephew of the groom.
Scripture lessons were read by the couple's godmothers, Ardra Thomsen Kretzmer of Glastonbury, Conn. and Katherine Farally, Havertown, Penn.
The church and reception were decorated with white, blue, lavender, and pale yellow flowers. Candles in fleur-de-lis pew stanchions lined the aisle and clustered among the flowers decorating the chancel. The reception was held in the Bolingbroke Mansion in Radnor, Penn.
Attending guests represented states from Washington to Connecticut and from Wisconsin to Alabama.
A rehearsal dinner at Evviva in Narberth was hosted by the groom's mother. She also hosted a post-wedding lunch for out-of-town guests at her home in Media.
After a honeymoon on Cape Cod the couple is at home in the Manayunk district of Philadelphia.
