Funeral for Georgia Avorie Murphy McGowan, 83, of Locust Fork was Sunday, July 22, at 2 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Charles Oden officiating.
Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Mrs. McGowan died Friday, July 20, 2007, at her residence. She was born Sept. 22, 1923, in Morgan County to Everett Lendon Breeding and Edna Emalene Lynn Breeding. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Murphy and a son, Willard Murphy.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph R. McGowan of Locust Fork; a daughter, Ladina Burgess of Locust Fork; a sister, Ruth Lyn Falls of Eva; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were friends and family.
