Falkville High School class of '52 holds reunion

Falkville's High School's 1952 graduating class conducted its 55th anniversary reunion at Greenbrier Restaurant on June 23 from 3-7 p.m.
Class members enjoyed visiting with each other and sharing in a delicious meal. Those attending with spouses and guests were:
Bill and Dot Brown Coard, Bobby and Margie Dumas, Kay Bryant Farrer, Sarah Hadley Gaines, Col. Howard and Helen Gibson, Rev. Leldon and Burmah Hardin, Kenneth and Betty Appleton Harpe, Franklin and Sue Harrison, Pete and Barbara Lee, Scott and Betty Wilson Parker, Lewie and Peggy Penn Rogers, Louise Rost Sample, Holly Sample, Ray and Betty Sanders, Paula Thomas Smith, Jim and Barbara Ward Kerrins, Bob and Charlotte Wise and Jack and Ina Holladay Hucks.
A candle lighting ceremony was led by Ina Hicks, chairperson of the reunion committee, in memory of deceased classmates.
Those memorialized were Rowena Alvis Livingston, Ellen Duncan Chunn, Jo Ann Todd Carden, Vera Brewer Waddell, Willodean Bramlett Shutt, Max Gray, Skippy Springfield, Howell Smith and Joe Summerford.
Rev. Hardin concluded the service with comments and prayer.
