Funeral for Opal O. Chapman, 84, of Falkville was Wednesday, Aug. 1, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Hank Smith officiating.
Burial was in Gum Springs Cemetery.
Mrs. Chapman died Monday, July 30, 2007, at Falkville Health Care Center. She was born April 7, 1923, in Morgan County to Marvin Ervin Stinson and Annie Morrow Stinson. She is survived by two sons, James B. Hendrix of Falkville and Jerry T. Hendrix of Decatur; two daughters, Judy H. Major and husband J.S. of Rocky Mountain, N.C. and June H. Phillips and husband Ray of Decatur; a sister, Jamie Atkins of Rome, Ga.; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Nephews were pallbearers.
