BRAC event showcases area

The Tennessee Valley BRAC Committee will sponsor a regional BRAC event Aug. 17 at the Von Braun Center North Hall. The event – "BRAC
to the Future" – will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and is for elected
officials, media representatives and area chamber of commerce members. Topics will include a Redstone Arsenal construction update, relocation timelines and workforce development efforts.
A "Town Hall" presentation about the Tennessee Valley will also be given, with each community's BRAC display available. This will be done to show all participants exactly what is presented on the BRAC relocation trips that are taken to northern Virginia.
The cost of the event is $30 per person and lunch will be provided. To register, visit www.huntsvillealabamausa.com or call 535-2007. The registration deadline is Aug. 10.
