Michael Ray Dearth

A memorial service for Michael Ray Dearth of Falkville was Tuesday, Aug. 7, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Darryl Chambers and Shaun Kennedy officiating.
Burial was in Falkville City Cemetery.
Mr. Dearth died Friday, Aug. 3, 2007. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Ray and Calla Dearth of Middletown, Ohio; a son, David Dearth of Altus, Okla.; and Marie West, his adopted godmother of Falkville.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War for which he received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal and Vietnam Service Medal. He was a truck driver for 33 years, a member of Falkville Volunteer Fire Department and a member of the Nazarene Church in Ohio.
He is survived by his wife, Dora Leigh Hodges Dearth; his ex-wife, Brenda Dearth Yates; a daughter, Melissa Jo Dearth Connine and husband Tad of Warner Robbins, Ga.; a brother, Pat Dearth of Vandalia, Ohio; four grandchildren, Brittany Dearth of California, Tiffany Dearth of Pennyslvania and Daulton Leser and Kolton Leser, both of Warner Robins, Ga.
Honorary pallbearers were Daulton Leser, Kolton Leser, James (Mac) McAnnalley, Rick Fawbush, Jimmy King, Dale Robertson, James Robertson, David Bullard and Donnie Hargrove.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, Falkville First United Methodist Church Building Fund, American Diabetic Association, American Heart Association, Eye Foundation or Cancer Foundation.
