Funeral for the Rev. Troy Puckett Sr., 79, of Eva was Sunday, Aug. 12, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Roger Ammons and David H. Smith officiating.
Burial was in Oden Ridge Cemetery.
Bro. Puckett died Thursday, Aug. 9, 2007, at his residence. He was born January 8, 1928, in Morgan County to Amos Leander Puckett and Victoria Cole Puckett. He was a loving husband to Sallie for 59 years, a Baptist minister for 32 years and a member of Macedonia (Oden Ridge) Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Margaret Ann Puckett and three brothers and three sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Sallie Puckett of Eva; two sons, Troy Puckett Jr. and wife Connie Lynn of Falkville and Connie Glenn Puckett of Eva; four daughters, Judy Cobb and husband Joe, Johnnie Sue Brindley, Donna Brindley and husband Frankie and Betty Ward and husband Kenneth, all of Eva; a sister, Lorene (Tarp) Russell of Huntsville; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were J.T. Cobb, Jimmie Brindley, Blake Puckett, Jarred Puckett, Chad Ward, George (Chubby) Brindley, Shane Taylor and Justin Cobb.
