DA: Bad check roundup planned

Morgan County District Attorney Bob Burrell is warning worthless check writers that a roundup will be held in Morgan County during the month of September. He wants to make sure that those individuals with outstanding warrants with the Morgan County Worthless Check and Restitution Recovery Units are aware the deadline for avoiding arrest is the close of business on Sept. 11. Anyone who has not paid in full by that date is subject to arrest.
Offenders are asked to call 351-4740 and ask to speak with investigator Bill Mauldin if they need to make arrangements to pay or turn themselves in to avoid arrest.
