Actors sought for Christmas play

Auditions for roles in "The Christmas Carving," a two-act musical production, will be conducted Thursday, Sept. 20, at 6:30 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 22, at 9 a.m. at the Hartselle Fine Arts Center on Chestnut Street.
The cast includes speaking parts for 11 young and older men and women, a pre-teen boy and a chorus composed of men, women and children.
The play will be staged in seven different performances Nov. 30-Dec. 2 and Dec. 6-8 under the auspices of College Street Players. Chuck Puckett is the playwright and his wife, Carol, will be the director.
Those auditioning should be prepared to sing a short song. They may bring their own karaoke CD and accompanist.
