Funeral for Violet Hughes Massey, 71, of Decatur was Wednesday, Sept. 5, at 10 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Frankie Raney officiating. Burial was in Burningtree Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Massey died Sunday, Sept. 2, 2007, at Parkway Medical Center in Decatur.
She is survived by two sons, Tim Hughes and wife Kim and Bobby Hughes and wife Rita, all of Decatur; three daughters, Doris Overton and husband Fredy of Decatur and Elainie Tribble and Debbie Hughes, both of Athens; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Travis Tribble, Barry Tribble, Kenny Evans, William Raney, Matt Weigart, Justin Cagle and Kenny Hetrick.
