Wilma Sheats Leeman

Funeral for Wilma Sheats Leeman of Decatur was Wednesday, Sept. 5, at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Decatur with Dr. Bill Hurt and the Rev. Roger Jenkins officiating and Roselawn Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Leeman died Monday, Sept. 3, 2007, at SunBridge Care and Rehabilitation of Decatur. She taught school at Somerville Road School for 26 years.
She was a former member of Central Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for many years and a member of First Baptist Church. She was a member of PWC Bridge Club and Trowlers Garden Club. Mrs. Leeman was preceded in death by her husband, Hafford R. Leeman; three sisters, Christine Carl Craig, Josephine Martin and Melba Weinman; and a brother, Hutson Morris Sheats.
She is survived by a daughter, Charlotte Danne Knight and husband John E. Knight of Decatur; a granddaughter, LeeAnn Baggett and husband Jim of Decatur; a grandson, John Edwin "Chip" Knight III and wife Elaine Brown Knight of Decatur; two great-grandsons, John Russell Baggett and Brody Leeman Knight, both of Decatur; a brother, Horace Clifton Sheats of Decatur; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Joe Carl, Frank White, Sam Houston, Bob Sheats, Jason Gantt, Bob Aldridge, Blain Gilley, Mike Boozer, Ken Wallick and Lowell Stinson.
Honorary pallbearers were Steve Chandler and David Breland.
