Funeral for Gregory Leo Roman, Jr., 14, was Wednesday, Sept. 26, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ronnie Bullard officiating.
Burial was in Somerville Cemetery.
The teenager died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2007, at Huntsville Hospital. He was born June 22, 1993, in California to Greg Roman and Leslie Roman. He was a student at Priceville High School where he was on the A-B honor roll, played on the varsity football team and was enrolled in the Junior ROTC program. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, skateboarding and anything to do with automobiles.
He is survived by his mother, Leslie McCullough and stepfather, James McCullough of Somerville; his father, Greg Roman of Danville; two sisters, Lindsay S. Roman and Emily McCullough, both of Somerville; grandfathers, Bennet Smith of Somerville and George Zucco of Sylmar, Calif.; grandmothers, Karen Smith of Somerville and Dee Clark of VanNuys, Calif.; and great-grandmother, Anna Naus of Sylmar, Calif.
Pallbearers were A.J. Bomar, John Daniels, Michail Large, Preston Large, Marty Sangstacke, Michael Micklow, Alex White, Jimmy Crader and James Shea.
Honorary pallbearers were members of the Priceville Bulldogs football team.
