Danville High, Middle celebrate homecoming

Danville High School and Danville Middle School have a variety of activities planned for homecoming.
Danville Middle celebrated Homecoming Oct. 2 when the Hawks faced Priceville Bulldogs. Middle school activities included: Purple/White Day Oct. 1; Backwards Day Oct. 2; and Camo Day, Goin on a Dog Hunt; Oct. 4, Color Class Day, fifth graders wear red, sixth graders wear blue, seventh graders wear orange and eighth graders wear green; Oct. 5, Purple White Day in celebration of varsity cheerleading.
The middle school homecoming court is: fifth grade, Meg Barnett and Sydni Shelton; sixth grade, Brooke Stegall and Sloan Lindsey; seventh grade, Brittany Hogan and Kelsey Alvis; and eighth grade, Anna Cagle, Harlie Hale, Chasity Hill, Stephanie Judy and Hannah McClung.
Danville High School will play Madison Academy Oct. 5 for its homecoming. Dress-up week includes: Oct. 1, Superhero/Hollywood day; Oct. 2, Backwards Day; Oct. 3, Camo Day – Goin' on a Dog Hunt; Oct. 4, Color War Day, ninth grade, red; 10th grade, blue; 11th grade, orange; 12th grade, green.
Purple and white day is Oct. 5.
Alumni from 1997, 1987 and 1977 will be recognized before the game. Former coaches, football players, cheerleaders and band members will be recognized at half time.
The homecoming court will also be presented during the game. The homecoming court includes: ninth grade, Lacey Evans and Megan Harper; 10th grade, Kelly Borden and Jessica Farley; 11th grade, Kayle Leavesley and Jessica Poole; 12th grade, Brittany Harper, Michelle Ray and Megan Willits.
A dance will follow the game until 11:30 p.m. Tickets are $5.
