Sammy Douglas Dockery

A memorial service for Sammy Douglas Dockery, 58, of Decatur will be Thursday (today), Oct. 4, at 11 a.m. at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Wright officiating.
Mr. Dockery died Sunday, Sept. 30, 2007, at his residence. He was born Dec. 21, 1948, in Morgan County to Lester Dockery and Allie Mae Bates Dockery. He attended Austin High School and was a lifelong resident of Morgan County.
He is survived by a son, Craig Lynn Dockery and wife Susan Lenae of Hartselle; a brother, Roger Dockery of Green Cove Springs, Fla.; two sisters, Peggy Wheeler of Winston Salem, N.C. and Patricia Atchley of Cullman; and a granddaughter, Darrian Dockery of Hartselle.
The family requests that memorials be made to the American Heart Association.
