Funeral for Lois Fowler Tapscott, 87, of Nashville, Tenn. was Friday, Oct. 12, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial was in New Friendship Cemetery.
Mrs. Tapscott died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2007, at NHC Richland. She was born Aug. 20, 1920, in Alabama to William H. Fowler and Etha Weaver Fowler. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sherrill Tapscott and a son, James Tapscott.
She is survived by a daughter, Ruth Tapscott Nicholson and husband Murray of Nashville, Tenn.; a sister, Lula Hughes of Hartselle; a sister-in-law, Betty Braun of Hartselle; four grandchildren, David Tapscott and wife Laura of Nashville, Tenn., Amy Wallace and husband Fred of Hartselle, Rhonda Curtiss of Fairview, Tenn., Crystal Smith and husband Jerry of Goodlettsville, Tenn.; and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Jerry Smith, Jimmy Wayne Speegle, Johnny Speegle, Michael Speegle, Jr. Speegle and Terry Speegle.
Honorary pallbearers were Draton Fowler, Lavaugh Blocker and Michael Offut.
