Man arrested for methamphetamine

A Hartselle man may be facing federal charges after deputies with the Morgan County Sheriff's Department found guns and explosives, along with a methamphetamine lab, inside his Barkley Bridge home.
Jason Brett Anders, 32, of 4198 Barkley Bridge Road, is charged with unlawful manufacturing of a controlled substance and contempt of court following his Oct. 14 arrest. Deputies discovered the lab while serving a warrant on Anders.
Agents with the Morgan County Drug Task Force were called to the scene after deputies saw items associated with meth production. Agents also found weapons and explosives and Anders, a convicted felon, could face federal charges in connection to those items. Sheriff's officials said that information has been forwarded to federal authorities.
Also arrested at the scene was Christie Canter, 31. Canter is charged with illegal possession of drug paraphernalia and is being held on $300 bond. Anders bond was set at $10,000.
