Funeral for Bonnie Jewell Almeida, 64, of Hartselle was Saturday, Oct. 20, at 1 p.m. at Neel United Methodist Church with Bro. Mason Booth and Bro. Brad Eads officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in Johnson Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Almeida died Thursday, Oct. 18, 2007, at her residence. She was born March 28, 1943, in Marion County to Elijah Gary and Thelma Ables Gary. She was a beloved wife of 40 years and a devoted mother and grandmother. She was a member of Neel United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school. She is survived by her husband, Russell J. Almeida of Hartselle; two daughters, Amy Elizabeth Pope and Jennifer Kristen Poole; a brother, William G. Gary; three sisters, Gale Williams, June Palmer and Cheri Bottoms; and three grandchildren.
The family requests donations be made to Neel United Methodist Church or Hospice of the Valley.
