Funeral for Lahoma Creel Culver, 91, of Falkville was Tuesday, Oct. 23, at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Shaun Kennedy officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial was in Mount Zion Cemetery. Mrs. Culver died Sunday, Oct. 21, 2007, at Hartselle Medical Center. He was born Jan. 16, 1916, in Gum Pond to Jada and Katie Sue Elmore Creel. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Falkville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas A. Culver; her daughter, Elizabeth Ann Culver Whitley; her parents; and four sisters, Eulala Ryan, Drusilla Winton, Atha Lambert and Odessa Oliver. She is survived by a stepson, Thomas G. Culver of Decatur; a stepsister, Doris Briscoe of Decatur; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; eight nephews and four nieces; and special friends, Wayne Coots and family.
Pallbearers were Chandler Culver, B.G. Ryan, W.C. Vassar, Douglas Winton, Roland Oliver, Jerry Oliver, Tommy Oliver and Bill Oliver.
