Marie Young Moses

Funeral for Marie Young Moses, 89, of Eva was Wednesday, Oct. 24, at 2 p.m. at Westside Baptist Church in Eva with the Revs. Wendell Bennett and David Taylor officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in Union Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Moses died Sunday, Oct. 21, 2007, at her residence. She was born Aug. 13, 1918, in Cullman County to L. Dallas Young and Maggie Catherine McAfee Young. She was born and raised in Logan and was a member of Logan Baptist Church until she moved to Eva and joined and became a member of Westside Baptist Church. She was devoted to her family and was a true angel at heart and a blessing to everyone. She was preceded in death by her husband, O. D. Moses.
She is survived by three sons, George Moses and wife Jane of Elkmont, Tommy Moses and wife Jane of Eva and Larry Moses of Sylvester, W. Va., a daughter, Cathy Taylor and husband David of Falkville; a sister, Jeanette Tackett of Hanceville; eight grandchildren, Amie Moses, Justin Moses, Jessica Scott and husband Tim, Jerome Taylor, Bryan Taylor and wife Crystal, Spenser Moses, Andrea Davis and Rhett McNatt; and four great-grandchildren, Arleigh Grace and Zane Scott, Matthew Taylor and Gavin Wade.
Pallbearers were Justin Moses, Jerome Taylor, Bryan Taylor, Spenser Moses, Tim Scott and Kenneth Hampton.
Honorary pallbearers were great-grandsons.
