Funeral for Roy B. Reeves, 81, of Hartselle was Wednesday, Oct. 24, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. James Reeves and Doug Mason officiating.
Burial was in New Center Cemetery.
Mr. Reeves died Sunday, Oct. 21, 2007, at Hartselle Medical Center. He was born May 3, 1926, in Morgan County to Thomas Henry Reeves and Susan Elizabeth Reeves. He was a member of the Church of God in Somerville. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mattie Callahan Reeves and two daughters, Deborah Hill and Loyce McCaig.
He is survived by his wife, Colleen Reeves of Hartselle; five sons, James Reeves and wife Sandra of Somerville; Jerry Reeves and wife Shirley and David Nelson and wife Lori, all of Hartselle, Johnny Nelson and wife Linda of Eva, and Billy James and wife Connie of Falkville; five daughters, Ann Shadden and husband Jimmy and Joyce Barber, all of Hartselle, Gail Mason and husband Doug and Sandra Barnett and husband Raybon, all of Somerville and Laverne Garrison and husband Milton of Danville; a sister, Olla Mae Motes of Somerville; 18 grandchildren; 33-great-grandchildren; 17 stepgrandchildren; 20 step-great-grandchildren;; and one step-great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers were Johnathon Nelson, Steve Nelson, Ricky Nelson, Tony Mason, Greg Shadden, Kevin Reeves, Jamie Barber, Gary Shadden and Casey Barber.
