Funeral for Bobby W. Ballenger, 66, of Danville was Saturday, Oct. 27, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Tom Callahand officiating.
Burial was in the United Methodist Jones Chapel Cemetery,
Mr. Ballenger died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2007, at his residence. He was born April 30, 1941, in Lawrence County to Author Clifford Ballenger and Hettie Frances Day Ballenger. He was a farmer and a wonderful, loving father. He was preceded in death by a brother, Earl Ballenger and a grandson, Derrick F. Maddox.
He is survived by his wife, Edith Leen Ballenger of Danville; five sons, Dewayne Ballenger and wife Rita, John R. Ballenger and wife Lynn, James R. Ballenger and Johnthon C. Ballenger and wife Robby, all of Danville, and Jessie L. Ballenger and wife Sandy of Moulton; three daughters, Rhonda Maddox and husband Dean of Cullman, Ann Lacy and husband Mike of Neel and Joanna Maddox and husband Shannon of Danville; three brothers, Mike Ballenger, Ricky Ballenger and Earskin Ballenger, all of Cullman; three sisters, Lillie Weaver of Hartselle, Sandra Mann of Hamilton and Katherine Roberts of Moulton; 19 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were D.A.Mann, G.W. Mann, Anthony Bennett, Keith Ballenger, Terry Hoskins and Jay-R Weeks.
